Son De Quisqueya
Son De Quisqueya is a next-generation virtual Latin music group, created in 2024 by entrepreneur and producer Eric Peguero as part of a bold vision to blend music, storytelling, and digital innovation. The group is fronted by charismatic lead vocalist Leonardo Chalas, a fictional character whose voice and stage presence channel the romance, rhythm, and soul of the Dominican Republic.
Drawing inspiration from Dominican traditions, Son De Quisqueya’s sound is anchored in Merengue and Bachata, but reimagined with modern production and a global flair. The project brings these beloved genres into a new era—where virtual artistry, interactive storytelling, and cultural pride meet.
At its core, Son De Quisqueya celebrates the heartbeat of Quisqueya (another name for the Dominican Republic), delivering romantic, dance-driven, and emotionally charged songs that connect across cultures while honoring their Caribbean roots.
